Masterclasses

Dallas has given 66 masterclasses at colleges, universities and music festivals throughout the US and in Europe. Traditional performance based masterclasses, and topical seminar masterclasses are both possible. Past seminar topics have included; circular breathing, double tonguing, and reeds.

Lessons

Having maintained a private clarinet studio for over 20 years, Dallas has had students successfully compete at music contests, and win auditions for Youth Symphonies, Honor Bands, and College/University music schools. Beginning, intermediate and advanced students of all ages are welcome.

Orchestral Instruction

Dallas teaches orchestral clarinet performance for the Seattle Collaborative Orchestra. This unique, collaborative ensemble includes a mix of students and professional teaching artists. Click below for audition information.

Interharmony International Music Festival

Dallas serves on the Artist Faculty of the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Piedmont, Italy. The woodwind, brass, and percussion tracks combine unique chamber music opportunities and starring orchestral roles, while the vocalists can specialize in either art song or opera.

Interlude Summer Music Festival

Interlude Youth Chamber Music Camp is designed to allow serious young musicians the opportunity to develop skills for successful participation in chamber ensembles, enabling them to develop lifelong music experiences.
